Beautiful! I don't understand why people say 36mm is small. I think the 1803 looks very elegant

Hi everyone. I inherited a circa '65. The bracelet is a bit too flashy for my age so I'm currently looking for some fine leather. Cheers!

If you say so but especially in white gold the bracelet is unobtrusive. |

Shouldn't the no lume dials have no lume hands? I always thought they went together. And wide boy dials should have wide boy hands. No?

Great thread. Some beautiful pieces here. This is next on the list. I have been looking at dress watches of late, but I am hopelessly obsessed with vintage Rolex, so the logical choice would be an 1803. I have a nice strap collection so I see this as being worn on a strap exclusively. I have moved away from gold and sold of all my gold and TT pieces. I miss having something in gold to wear. I have been looking "casually" for a good condition 1803 head. Time to step up the search activity.
Thanks for the encouragement/enabling...... |

Question for 1803 owners. I am about receive my first 1803 and wondering if most choose to use a winder and if so what model of choice? This will not be a daily wearer.

Arrive today and loving it. Ordered solid gold end links and brown gator strap. I did opt to buy a wolf winder .

After receiving it setting the day-date wasn't half as bad as I thought. The wife fell in love with it so it probably will be getting more wrist time than I anticipated

Installed Mastermixer's solid 18k end links today and I'm very pleased. They fit great to the case which I was most concerned about. Highly recommended.

My latest acquisition, this gorgeous 1970 DAY-DATE 1803 with the elusive "Buckley" dial.
