Help identifying my Rolex
Hi
I inherited this Rolex Oyster Perpetual from my father many years ago but I know nothing about. I have done many searches but I have not found any similar. The only marking on the watch is "Modele Depose" and the winder has "Rolex + Oyster" on it. The bracelet is marked 750 ROLEXSA Swiss Made there is also a hand etched serial no 626223. Any info regarding this watch or websites where I can check it out would be greatly appreciated. George |

750 is 18k gold. If you open the caseback of the watch you will probably find the same 750 marking. Seems you have a solid 18k gold watch. If 585 then it's 14k gold. Serial seems to be from the early 50s

"Modele Depose" translates roughly to "registered design". The modern equivalent would be something like Patent Pending...
Very nice piece, BTW. |

If you open the caseback, you will find the model engraved.
Opening the caseback, requires a tool, especially due to the soft gold.

Looks like an Ovettone, ref 6105 or 6075, maybe a few other reference numbers.
But dial looks very unusual. Would like to see close up photo with out crystal. |

I have added a better image of the dial.

It looks like one of the early Datejusts, but I think that the dial was refinished long ago, hence its unusual appearance and less-than-perfect fonts. It would likely be marked "superlative chronometer" as well.

Nusantara, I can't tell for sure, but it looks like a 6694: should have a 34mm case and a manual-wind movement. Try to get better photos and some of the more expert members will be able to give you meaningful feedback.
