I'm in the minority here, but I'm starting to now prefer a non-faded insert. I think it compliments the deep black of the dial better. The faded insert looks "softer."

I agree. The faded is nice, but less faded is a nice change of pace. I almost bought a lovely blue snowflake but I just couldn't get used to the completely ghosted bezel. It resulted in too washed out a look.

Non fade is great with the deep black gloss. I would however prefer it to be a time correct long 5 insert. Stunning piece nevertheless

No bad choice here but I would prefer the second.

Both are amazing; to better decide, do you have other face front pictures with some lighting?

I am a huge fan of faded/grey inserts, specifically on a matte dial. On a deep gloss gilt dial I love a jet black insert. I would keep the first until I could find a correct dark MK 2 long 5 insert though. That second one appears to be a service insert. |

thanks very much for your opinions
I like my long five faded insert, but but, I think a dark insert will fit much better with this deep black dial so I need your help which type of insert I have to find to match with this 1965 gilt ? MK2 long 5 ? |
