Incoming from the wife! Really excited.

For Christmas, my wife has really gone above and beyond. She managed to pick up some new tools and accessories for me. In addition, she acquired a few practice movements for me to learn on. I can't wait to start taking these movements apart (not the watches in the picture though:).

Very cool, are the movements designed as training aids?

Nice. I bought a few simple tools and my wife asked if I’m a tool...

What a cool wife and great Christmas gift. When can we start sending ours for repair? :-)

Thanks, I know I am a ways off from working on our watches, but it's a great entry into a little hands on learning. Thanks to TRF, I know there are a lot of us who appreciate the backbone and heart of horological pieces, not just who happens to stamp their brand on a dial or casing. After long stretches of work, I hope to use this hobby as a little escape. And wow, my wife understands!

I think that's a really cool gift, well done to your wife lady!
Let's hope this is not like the DIY dentistry that took place in my kitchen yesterday.
