hand matching... does it de-value the watch?

I have a gorgeous 1016 explorer being serviced at watchmaker international. The watch is great but at one time was fitted with serviced hand that weren't period correct to the watch. Period correct hands are being replaced but the one they have do not match the really nice patina of the dial. Will "tinting" the hands to match the dial de-value the watch and by what percentage ( is it a big deal, or not so much) or should I wait for hands that have a closer match?

Thanks.

Color matched hands does devalue the watch versus a correctly matched/properly aged set of hands (hopefully original)....by how much depends on the watch as always....in the case of a 1016 I'd say maybe a ~$1000-$2000 in the current market for matched hands versus original.

They located original hands to the watch so my options for now is:
1/ have original but none matching hands (hands are much brighter than dial)
2/ Color match those original hands.
3/ Try to source a better matching set, which at this point they can't find another one...

This is how it looks like with the one they have:

I'd match them since you didn't have the original hands on it anyways. It will also look way better.

I'd take my time and go with option 3.
