Ladies 8159 14K YG & Diamond Bezel
I was at a coin dealer today having some old silver & gold coins evaluated (that discussion is in another thread).
Well the subject got around to Rolex and he brought this old, non working, ladies model that was well-worn judging by scratches on acrylic crystal and wear on the clasp’s coronet. I don’t know much about these vintage dress models but looked up the 8159 and found some old sales about 6 years ago ranging about $2500 - and a listing asking $4500. Anyone know more about these? Has a manual movement and I don’t see any hallmarks except on caseback. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Thanks David.
Do these seem to range from the 1940’s up to late 1950’s - maybe even 1960’s? I couldn’t see a serial number but it may be inside the caseback. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
