GMT Hyphen Dial ?
Hi there.
I am interested in acquiring a Hyphen Dial Circa 1968-1969 It needs some Restoration and was wondering Is Restoring a Rare dial like this Frowned upon? Also is there anyone or anyplace in particular you would refer me to take it or send it to? The bottom where T Swiss T is chipped and missing. Thank you in advance.

Is it worth it or will it hurt the Value?
Thanks.

I would look at it as: Which would be easier to re-sell.
Damaged dial, or repaired dial? Honestly, I'd avoid both just because it's a no-win situation. When you DO want to sell it, it's gonna be scrutinized and debated endlessly....and, probably right here on this forum! |

Well they are rare and hardly ever come up for sale.
I guess I could just buy it and leave it alone. I don't see why it would be a bad investment given the scarcity. I know scarcity doesn't always equate to value.

Are you referring to 1675/8 with hyphen between oyster and perpetual? I’m not aware of any other gmt with a hyphen.

Not worth it in my personal experience.Watches with relumed or repaired Dials incur a huge value hit,Better just to pay up for a nice Dial.
