Great watches, guys! Can we agree that this has been a GMT year? The release of the 126710 just put the GMT:s on spot...agree, guys?

Let’s call it the revival of the year!

Not new but both Subs got new OEM domed crystals this year and the positive change made it feel like they were new acquisitions.
The 5513 was actually acquired from “Springer” three years ago (thanks J.P.) when I decided I needed a completely honest and excellent condition example in my collection. An MK1 Maxi in this condition is now impossible to come by. The T-39 Superdome is awesome.
The 5512 matte dial four line Serif dial is also a real pleasure to own and the T-19 Dome crystal replacement of a service crystal made a big difference. Unpolished example dating to 1972 with just the right amount of honest wear that makes it a real “keeper”.
Happy New Year and good health to all in 2019.

Outstanding watch!! How would ever a 14060 in the future compare to this...it will never happen!
Imagining being apart of the meeting where they decided to make a maxi dial...like: “The 5513 needs some improvement, I would say that the lume plots could be ramped up a bit or am I wrong?”
-No you are not wrong, colleague...let’s just put in to production!” 👍😄

It's a serviced dial and the lume is still strong.

Happy New Year everyone!

I'll add two photos of my last two purchases of 2018.

- A Seiko 6105-8009 that I purchased as a 50th birthday present for my little brother.

- A Longines 13zn that is a bit of a project, but that I hope will someday be the centerpiece of my collection.
