changing bezels on a gmt
hey guys, i have the link bookmarked about changing the bezels on the gmt's but for those of you that have done it, how hard was it? I get nervous even unlocking to crown to change the time/date( i know i wont break it).
btw: im not going to change back to the all black bezel anytime soon....just wanted to get some feedback on the difficulty. Cheers, Mike

I've never tried it. I know that I was born with all thumbs when it comes to mechanical ability, so I wouldn't even think about changing it myself

It's easy as pie on my 16750... I do it in less than 5 minutes. I believe you have a bezel spring, which I don't have, so it'll be a bit different for you. Just make sure you use masking tape so you don't scratch the case or the band when prying the bezel off. Also be careful not to bend the insert when pushing it out of the bezel, it's snapped in pretty tight. The only problem I had on my first attempt was squeezing the new insert back in to the bezel. I use needle nose pliers to snap it in place... I also use a thick sport sock in between the pliers and the bezel as not to scratch or scar the bezel/insert. Once you do it once it'll be a piece of cake when you decide to do it again.
