If the DSSD is really the watch that YOU want, I'd say go for it. It certainly fits you well and doesn't look too big.

However your wife obviously has good taste in choosing the Yacht-Master. It's clearly the best looking piece of the bunch ;) Chicks know best.

got this for my son's 30th birthday, he is 230pounds and YM looks great

With the pictures of all three, I think the dssd gets my attention more . Love the baby paw in the picture as well!

If the DSSD feels comfortable and balanced on your wrist then go for it otherwise the GMTc for me.

It all depends on your style and circumstances. If you are a sporty/leisure guy - even better if you are a diver - then I'd go with the DSSD no questions asked.

Then again, you have a good sport/diver style watch in the Panerai so perhaps something more dressy would work.

Enough talking, you need some enablement. Here is a wrist shot of the DSSD on an old well-used ZULU strap

I agree, it depends on your lifestyle. More sporty, DSSD. The Yachtmaster is, however, a versatile watch that will go with nearly everything. Maybe your wife wants to see you in something dressier than a black face dive watch.

I personally do not buy into the Hype that the bigger/larger dialed watches are better. Just a bunch of advertising 'Bunk' so with that being said get the one you like and will enjoy wearing. Btw.....what happens if next year the advertising/marketing switches gears and the push is toward smaller watches.....what will everyone do???

The very new SS YMII in 44mm should also be considered as an alternative to the Deepsea. Either model would suit you quite well, I believe.
