I have heard the same as to Invicta's service center. Very slow, poor communication. Emails I have sent asking questions have gone unanswered- of course, I'm 6 weeks after emails to Rolex and Omega, so my track record overall is weak.

That is one handsome piece. Wonder if they make an automatic version?

Their customer service is getting better but still has work that needs to be done. I have never had to use it. They did make that in an auto, but no longer offered. It's hard to find one, but it was a "Reserve" piece. I caan't remember which movement it came with.

Nice Limbo! Don't you just love the relief on the dial, esp the "sunburst?"

The dial is almost too good for a reasonably (low) priced watch. Thinking of getting a 9224 - black dial version in TT, but the relief and sunburst on the black dial does not appear to be as good as the white.

Invicta used to make some decent affordable watches. But have you seen their latest offerings?

Purchased invicta 9937 and 9938 about a year and a half ago. Had problems with the TT 9938 from the start. The crown wouldn't screw in more than a quarter turn. Sent it back for service and got it 2 months later. It wouldn't even run then. Had to returned it immediately and got it back 2 months later. This before it had any wrist time at all. The stem problem never really was corrected. It had poor reserve time and winding it was really bad - like major friction and grinding - not smooth. Then "ping" the spring went. The 9938 was fairly accurate though when it ran. I seldom wore this one also. The 9937 SS version was not so accurate and also had poor reserve and about a year into wearing it, the same winding friction issue cropped in until it finally stopped winding. I wore this one almost daily. I sent them both back with a letter on my dissatisfaction. They are in service center now (going on a month). They are fixing them as a warranty issue but I don't hold my breath they will work correctly. Bottom line for me... no more invictas as the service is less than satisfactory and the product was really not what I hoped. They looked great but that was about it. ;-(
2 bad out of 2 is not good for me. That's why I'm here looking at the Subs 16613 and the GMT2s. ;-) I'm sure I'll have better luck with them. |

The are good watches. I like the ones that have Swiss movements though..Very much like the Orient by Seiko. Well made and best bang for your buck

Invitas sure look good, but I have no love for them. for better value of the $$ I'd prefered Orients or Seiko5s. I owned several of them and they look great , work great!

Latest news on Invicta is they are being sued for stealing an already look alike pelican box, and shipping the box with moldy watches in them. Quite a mess.
The watches are interesting and large. |

I got my 9938 back the other day from invicta repair - 3rd time back to them. It's working but it still came back with a crown issue. It only turns 1/4 turn on the threads to screw it down. I don't know how else to convey to them this issue. It's at least running right now. They still have my 9937 model. Very unhappy with these 2 watches. They look great but that's all the good I can say at this point. ;-( I'd rather have the sub 16613...I'll save my money next time.

Wouldn't you know just 30 mins after posting the above and having worn the watch all day after winding it yesterday.... it stops .. the reserve time on this 9938 sucks. LOL.

If you'd get the older version of this model with ETA movement youd have no issues. I have one of those and it keeps perfect time after 10 years.

Just ordered the 9211 Speedway through Amizon. I'll have it here tomorrow.
Note... I got 70% off, and they are having a sale on Invictas now, so check em out Little weird that even the Swiss modle has a quartz movement in the Speedways, but it still looks good

For the price point, they are a great buy. Very durable and run very well. I have an ocean ghost and a russian diver at the moment and wear them just like any other of my watches. There are a few invicta bashers out there, but they are fools.

I just received my Speedway in the mail today, and I have to say I expected a bit less quality. I expected an 85.00 watch... kind of cheap. Surprised tho, this thing is sweet. I didnt know the watch retails a 355, and picking it up for 85.00 was a steel. So far I'm very happy with it, has a bit more of a heft than I'm use to, but it looks and feels great. Im happy.

I don't get it. Everything they make is a knock off of something else. I would never purchase an Invicta and I would regift if one was given to me. JMHO

Some are knockoff looking (ala submariner), but there are many original designs as well.

Not everything. Although some of their designs are just odd to me.

Good watch to have as a beater. I've got the Pro Diver Swiss quartz and have had no problems with it. To be honest though, I feel a little embarrassed wearing it sometimes. One time as an experiment I even wore it to the Rolex AD just to see what they would say. Let's just say it wasn't a very positive response

I'd rather buy a Seiko or Citizen, etc. Invicta is a disgrace to the timepiece business, IMO.
