GMT Master II’s Jubilee bracelet to be discontinued and replaced with Oyster
Quote:
I agree. I don’t think the GMT will see any change, too soon. Every scene in the teaser hint to a new Explorer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The teaser video is for the new Explorer 2 -> Cyclops is visible, Brushed clasp, Twinlock crown and Mountain in the background. GMTs have a triplock crown so clearly the watch in the video is not a new GMT. May make sense if they upsize all GMTs to the new 41mm case shape like the subs with thinner lugs. Would hate to see the jubilee bracelets discontinued though.

Seems a bit soon after the SS BLRO, let alone the current BLNR. A short time frame for a Rolex model, but not unheard of. |

I think more people prefer the Oyster over the Jubilee, so if anything, we might see demand for the Jubilee drop?

My guess is changes to Explorer, Cellini and less likely Daytona. Most of the other models have been updated recently- maybe Sea Dweller too? Fun to speculate. |

I did until I got my blro. Now I rarely wear my blnr. The jubilee is far more comfortable. But alas I think Mr Goldberg is way off as all watch components shown in the teaser are obviously the Explorer2. This year she’s the Belle of the ball Sent using Tapatalk |

He is the first and the only one that predicted exactly what happened last year. The videos are still there if you want to check.

I don’t understand why people keep talking about the clasp being shown in the promo video. Am I missing something? That seems like the same class, or a variation of, that is currently on previous generations so why is this such a flag for people???!

Also, why is it out of the realm of possibilities for them to offer both Jubilee and Oyster for the GMT? For SS and PM?
Has everyone forgotten the Jubilee full Everose GMT Rootbeer they debuted at Basel that never came out? I think they’ve always had plans to offer both band options. |

I never like to try and guess what Rolex is going to do. But this time I think they may be updating the GMT II case as they did with the Sub, 41mm with a lug width of 21mm. But who knows. Then that will do away with the maxi case on all the Professional models.

I'm shocked this is still a mystery. How could Rolex telegraph it any more clearly for you?
Northern lights? Cave imagery? The enhanced photos showing the 24 hours bezel? 50th anniversary of the Explorer II? The fact people are debating this as anything other than the Explorer is odd. (to me). |

How far in advance did he actually predict 41mm specifically. Everyone knew sub would be replaced. I don’t recall him mentioning 41mm until it was already leaking out to the general public Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Four to five months in advance he posted two videos. One saying that the hulk is discontinued and another one showing a leaked picture of the exact 41mm sub. They are still in his channel in case you want to check, uploaded in May 2020. I remember everyone was making fun of him at that time about both predictions that where actually leaks from his source, and in fact 100% correct.

Yes, this is true, and I have to confess. I was one of the folks who made fun of him. I admit I was wrong and he apparently has a legitimate inside source. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

that's right, so I think there's at least 50% chance that the jubilee pepsi will be discontinued in 2 days time!
