15202ST AKA Jumbo Grey Market Price

Is it just me or are they continuing to go up?
I remember they were going for $29K BNIB from DavidSW.

Now $33K?!

MSRP was raised just a little while ago, so greys raised accordingly.

I’m seeing them in the 34-35 range now. I feel like there is still some run left ... I mean a 1540 blue dial seems to be asking 26-28k. Which sounds nuts to me.

+1

I still think the premium vs RRP is reasonable compared to a lot of watches.

And that one for 33K in the classifieds is a local seller to me. Great guy and that bad boy is still wrapped in plastic. Good deal if you ask me for someone that wants a brand spankin new one.

He is not a volume dealer like Trahn and David, actually diamonds and other jewelry are his thing. So he is a bit higher than them, I would agree. Still a great guy and he will play a little.

Good to know. Was not trying to criticize him rather offer my opinion as the OP was claiming his price was the new market price. I am not sure his pricing is indicative of market price.

Crazy I bought one new old stock I serial last fall for 21500

Nothing just keeps going up, there is always going to be a downturn at some point. It's best to be smart and time your purchases. Some of these watches including the 15202 are always going to have their place in terms of value. You can choose to pay a premium which will diminish at some point or pay what they are actually worth which is close to MSRP. In recent years, you have an influx of millionaires from crypto to weed, with luxury spending at the highest levels, this combined with how well the stock market has done for the past two year, has driven prices to the highest levels.

So right now it's the worst time to buy some of these unless you can get them for MSRP as the entire watch market prices are inflated, best to wait until the next economic downturn and be ready to buy with cash.

When a 5711 sells over 2X MSRP, the 15202 at 33K is a steal.

I agree but don’t think anyone is getting 60k for a 5711. Not in the states anyways.

Ok, sorry. 60% markup, still leaves the 15202 looking like a bargain! And teh 15202 is the true original in my eyes, wasn't the Nautilus originally designed by Genta as a ladies watch?

as a previous owner of the jumbo (and current owner of a 450BA), i'm really glad to see the royal oak benefiting from the valuation surge that (arguably) began with the nautilus price increase.

having said that, this is pure insanity for steel pieces...as many have said repeatedly.
have seen plenty of 5711s posted on various selling sites in the high 50s/low 60s...but are they actually selling for those prices? anyone here have actual confirmation of being or knowing such a buyer?
and if u happen to be a buyer at such a price level, no judgments...in fact, mazel for ur ability to do so!

also, i tend to think (no real proof, just feel) that the jumbos are selling on the secondary market in the high 20s...not actually in the low 30s even if listed as such.
that said, i think within a year they will sell regularly in the 30s, as their escalation within this previous year has been significant with no end in sight.
