Thoughts on 5800 Nautilus

First time poster here. I don’t see any discussion or reference to the 5800 Nautilus anywhere, what are your thoughts on it?

Beautiful watch. I like the mid-size, and it’s much rarer than the 5711. I would not be surprised if it became more sought after as the “big watch” trends appears to disappear.

I could be wrong but I think it already sells for more than the 5711.

What make it more pricier than the 5711? Is it because it’s rarer due to low production run?

I think it was only produced for one year and is a faithful smaller version of the 5711 in all the details. It is not an easy watch to find.

I have seen Tim Mosso and Brian Govberg tried this watch on their wrists. It looked smallish on them, and they are not the biggest guys around.

The 5711 is not the biggest watch. I would say that the smaller variants such as 3800 and 5800 are best perhaps in 2 tone or yellow gold.

Based on the ones I could find on Chrono24, you are correct. Seems like it's slightly less.

Worth buying if one is available for sale?

If you want something smaller than the 5711 this is the way to go. Larger and newer than the 3800 and completely faithful to the design of the 5711.
