I'd like to think my review (OP) would surely fill in most of the blanks...

I’ve tried on a couple speedmasters over the years and they felt good, but I didn’t jump on them.
I now own a Rolex DSSD, an AP ROC and an AP ROO - I have an old PO as well but that’s not comparable and doesn’t get worn much. I realize a speedmaster should probably join the collection at some point and am hoping some aficionados could help me under they a 321 is worth the $$.
Thank you,
~Pat
Post #1 is long... But an excellent start to answer your question :)

In short, so many historic details that were only available to vintage buyers until recently but now can be had with a modern twist i.e. ceramic bezel, straight lugs, 321 movement, excellent flat link bracelet etc. And the icing on the cake is that it is available brand new (not everyone likes, or can live with, true vintage).

Not much more can be said than what’s already been posted in this thread, and this one: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=846386

Thanks to these, I started to look more closely at the 321. I always wanted to add a Speedmaster, but the1861 and 3861’s just didn’t capture my imagination like the 321.

Is it worth the price? That’s very subjective I suppose. To me and many others it certainly is. In fact, you could argue that for the price it’s a steal

One of the most revered chronographs of all time, executed to perfection and in stunning detail. IMO.
