Do ADs Uplift Service Price When Sending To A RSC?
When I’ve needed service I’ve always sent my watches directly to the RSC in New York. If someone dealt with a local AD, would the AD somehow uplift the price to the customer (aside from shipping) or would the final price be exactly what the individual get by going direct?
Thanks.. . |

Same price to the individual but if you go via your AD they make a cut and thus Rolex make a lower overall margin

I let my AD send my watch to RSC for warranty work. Of course no charge to add onto but they also covered the shipping costs as a customer courtesy.

The issue with an AD is that they become the customer for RSC and make the decisions.
Sometimes they may make a call that you would not have.

I think the cost to the consumer is the same. I have never heard the AD gets some money from Rolex for sending a watch in for service.
