Day Date 36 Comparison

Ad must have had a Christmas shipment delivered!

Who thinks I should buy the 36!?

I absolutely love this 36mm day date. I got the call for this Oysterflex Daytona and was fortunate to try on a two day dates. 40 and 36mm.

Enjoy the photos, wrist shots never do the watches justice.

Get the 40mm man.

That is no comparison.

If it is to be a DD then the 40, it looks more proportional. The Daytona is strong so it would be do you want a bracelet or the OF. No bad decision here, only a choice.

36 sized to your wrist is perfect.
I have both and rotate them quite often, I'd say the 36 is more dressy and thus suitable for events like dinner or Xmas or sich stuff.
DD40 is perfect for everyday wear like shopping, going to the beach and playground with children.
Get both and buy the OF Daytona in 2023 ;)
Daytona is overrated and oysterflex seams cheap on such an otherwise expensive piece

Since being unable to get a JM greens dial PM Daytona and trying on a YG DD exhibition model while in LA last week, I’ve talked to some ADs about possibly getting a DD 40. I was amazed how well it fit my wrist and I have always been a fan of the “President” bracelet. Fingers crossed…

Tried on a DD36 RG with Chocolate dial last night at my AD. I think DD36 is a perfect size for the DD. Either way you can't go wrong!

This is why I really don't understand why they don't introduce more dial options to the 40. That's a gorgeous dial and really belongs on a 40 also.

Completely disagree, I'd say it should be determined depending on wrist size.

Buy the 36mm. To me it looks better on your wrist than the 40mm.

could go either way, 36 will look smaller here because it's sitting on your hand but once properly sized and moved up a bit it'll look better. depends on your preference

I have the 40 on a 16cm wrist and it fits well when sized. The 40 at msrp is a steal. You can sell it after 1 year for the same price or a small profit then buy the 36 if you want.

I’m a huge fan of the 36mm DD as well, perfect proportions.
The 40 is just not right, too big.
Not too big for my wrist, just too much.
YMMV.

36 looks best on you. It looks like you can serve shrimp on that 40 on your wrist.

Another vote for the 36. Looks better on you. I generally don't like the "Upsized" versions though. Too much dial.

Similar situation for me, went to my AD for something else, he pulled me aside and showed me this 36mm; on my wrist (7.25”) it looked fabbo, it’s plenty of watch.

both are great. Depends on wrist size but importantly the look you are going for. Most people would be able to pull off the 40 no problem as it is not really a big watch. My issue with 36's recently has been the dials which do seem more geared toward women, particularly in rose gold which is why i got a DD40 in RG/chocolate roman dial

36mm all the way. The 40mm lugs are overhanging both sides of your wrist. This is a clear sign its too big.

I have this exact 36mm. Do it; you won’t regret it. Dial is ridiculously captivating.

My wrist is a bit smaller than yours, but this watch gets more wrist time than any of my other DD’s, 40mm or 36mm. I’d wear it every day if I could, but sometimes the occasion calls for something less flashy or dressy.
