Yellow Gold Green Dial Daytona good buy?

I got a chance to pick up a yellow gold green dial, 116508, for 50K... Is it worth the buy?

Any thoughts???

I personally wouldn't pay that much over retail. I ended up getting the PN dial instead. Too long of a wait for the Green dial plus the PN dial is more versatile.

It is hard to justify that much over retail. It makes the rose gold or even the Platona a good buy.

Absolutely not - You can spend 50k in a far better way on something else. If you want it, then ask you AD to sign you up and get it at retail down the line

I would wait.

There's a sign that grey market prices are starting to drop. The prices of PM watches will drop harder than SS watches.

Wait until spring next year, if you can wait. New hot models will be introduced in Baselworld 2020, and the current YG Greentona frenzy will be forgotten.

You can pick one up in mid to low 40s if you look around.

50K is way too high. You will lose money on that one at that price. I agree with other posters that the fad on this watch will wane soon.

I'd take pause, seems to be quite a bit of negative pressure on this price right now so next few weeks could be determinant, wait till then.

Don’t pay over retail. Most people who were dying for one are already out of the system, and now ADs are starting to get them in. There are tonnes for sale that are sitting. Don’t be a chump. I understand paying the premium for 116500s but not this one

I have seen this pre owned, originally sold form AD in 2017 priced at $46K. A 2019 piece probably priced at $50K makes sense. I don't have a crystal ball but I doubt the prices will be going down. My .02.

Hong Kong dealers have them new at under 45k now. And I’m sure you can bargain them down a few bucks more.

No, I'd never pay over MSRP for PM. I'd never pay MSRP for PM.

If you really dig it, then go for it. They are hard to get from an AD.

No, wait for one to show up at your AD for a discount in the coming months.
