Yep, I'm Explorer shopping.

I'm coming from the oversized Panerai world, so on paper, a 40mm 16570 seems too small. Tried on a 216570

That being said, it seems that pre-loved 16570's are about 2k less expensive.

I have a 7.25" wrist and I'm a big guy so I carry large watches well. I just can't find a 16570 to try on.

Any one own both?

How did you feel about the Milgauss? The old ExplorerII wears very similarly.

The older model at 40mm is the one I'd pick. I'm not really a fan of the fat hands.

For some reason the fat hands look extra fat and stubby on the Explorer 2.

I thought the same thing until I got mine in the flesh. Pictures can be a bit deceiving. Hands are hefty, but I don't think they are as disproportionate as people think.

The 16570 wears smaller than 40mm. My wrist is about the same as yours and the 42mm is perfect.
