Anyone else noticed the decrease in speed on TRF?

I've experienced it for the past week now.

I don't think it's on my end as it only happens here?

Today it's very slow. I'm too fast for it, so I'm double posting now.

Yes - been slow for about a week.
Notice it most on the "Never-Ending Story" where a minute or two makes a big difference in sequence of replies.

Those wedding/anniversary and Benz posts with about 100 pics each went up around the same time. Do mega posts like that make a difference?

I'm trying to get to the bottom of this.
I think it is related to some third party spider's who are putting extra demands on the server, but I'm still looking into it.

Thanks for letting us know Steve and keep up the good work.

PS. I never believed for a second you did this to slow me down.

Apart from search engines, bulletin boards from all over the world send out spiders/robots to download threads/photos from TRF.
Anyway, it should be a bit faster now that I've blocked some of them off.

Yes, at first I thought it was my computer, but through process of elimination, it came back to TRF.

Thanks for all you and the Mods do Steve. I use Tapatalk a good deal to read/post. Does their software add much to the overhead?

I only ask because when I use the gallery feature to view pics it seems to keep flipping back and forth. Not a rant - just sharing in case that behavior is indicative of anything amiss with their hosting pics.

And I thought it was my computer, which is about 5 years old (ancient by today's standards).

I agree; I was unable to upload pictures for several hours as well.

Be safe.
