I'd probably have considered it for 4 Planet Oceans. Their resell value when you leave the store would net you about a grand over inflated SS sub prices.

It's a no from me. I owned an Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra not entirely dissimilar to the one in your picture, and eventually sold it as I rarely wore it, in part because I felt it was inferior to my Rolex watches in almost every way. That is just *my opinion*, however it is the only watch I have ever flipped.

I love Omega and I really like the folks who run my local Omega boutique, but unless I win the lottery, there's no way I'd pay MSRP for an Omega.

I great watch is better than 2 good ones. You can't wear 2 watches at the same time.
Omegas are regularly discounted. SS professional Rolex watches are regularly sold above retail price. I actually find it incredibly cheeky of them to ask you for $500 to take the Rolex off your hands and give you the 2 Omegas. Always choose quality above quantity. |

Ah .. . No. Omega makes a nice watch, but you can get a very little used one for $3k. 9mega tech is great, resale sucks.

Nope! You can pick up the new Seamaster brand new for less than 4K. I’d just buy thag outright somewhere else

No chance. I would have been appreciative of the offer, but no way I'm making that trade.

Omega AD offered me two for my Sub Date
Nope. I have both a 116610 and the Blue wave dial SMP 2018. The SMP is a catch and release for me. Not nearly so satisfying to wear as the Rolex, and the Omega lume is not as bright as Rolex. SMP is a cool watch, but it won’t stay. Good call. Glad you walked away. Omega can be had at a discount, new, and buying preowned is even more affordable.
Sub getting hydrated.

Good thing you didn’t take the bait; would have been a foolish trade. One appreciating piece for two depreciating pieces that are valuated at their highest, that’s some some cunning math!

Beauty! What do you think of that helium escape appendage? That may be the “feature” that prevents me from picking one up.

I do love the AT line but even discounted I'd be thinking how that money could go towards what the heart really wants, the crown. On paper omega's are excellent and dare I say it better value and specs for the money. Stuff that deal. |

Good call, I’m more so a fan of the earlier Omega’s. The newer ones seem to be all over the place.

Maybe when one of the omega watches is a 2017 speedy tuesday. That is a modern speedmaster which comes close to a SS Rolex sportmodel resale value.

You can never depart a Sub , not with an Omega x2
Your sub will always hold value if not appreciating due to Rolex price increase . Stick with your Sub and enjoy it :) |
