which one next - aquanaut or nautilus?

the DD has moved out to make space for another PP.
but which one should take its spot?

in consideration are: 5167R, 5164R, 5711R, 5711 white.

i am leaning heavily toward the 5711R full bracelet. a certain symmetry in the collection of the 2 APs (SS/YG) + 2 PPs (SS/RG) by virtue of that addition.

but will the 15450BA and 5711R be too overlapping - ie, when i feel like wearing a full gold piece, will these two be too redundant?

I think the 5164R would be a nice compliment to your existing collection, also gives you a complication you don't have (if that matters to you).

personally i would get the 5164R if you are set on the R version. I think the 5711's both the R and the white dial have more overlap with the 5712, the AP 15450 and the 15202 than an aquanaut would.

I agree with the rest. The 5164R gives you some variety.

ha, very true. not in a rush, want to be sure of choice first.

I'm debating between the 5711R and the 5167R.
the 64R interests me, not for the added complication, rather the extra thickness. beyond that, i much prefer the simplicity of the 67 dial.
and yes, having an aquanaut to add variety is definitely a factor.

but that 5711R...argh.
i feel that I'll still keep thinking about that one of i decide on anything else.

exactly, recent thread is only adding to my favor of 67 over the 64.
and, like u said, the simpler dial of the 67 suits me. which is probably why I'm so drawn to the 5711R.

5164R or 5167R. I like the darker shade of brown on these models compared to the 5711/1R.

Have to go with the 5711R, just a spectacular and sumptuos piece.

5711 white gives you plenty of variety too. It would be the most sporty of the bunch and you could wear it with a Tux as well.

First of all - that's a very nice collection there!

I guess you have a preference for watches in bracelet? If so, the 5711R would be the perfect choice for you. It also gives you a nice balance of SS and gold watches in your collection

u r absolutely spot-on. in fact, only recently did i come to that realization. i tried to go strapped models in the past, and i think i've accepted the fact that i prefer sport-styled bracelet models that can do double-duty as dress pieces. and i think my current lot of AP and PP do exactly that.

in fact, currently letting go of my last strapped piece now to make (more) room for a patek.
i'm still trying to rationalize the 67R - even though it's still technically a strap (although rubber, not leather/gator), i do like the idea of the variety of nautilus and aquanaut in the collection.

but, to your point, the balance of SS and gold bracelet pieces is very appealing.
plus, i think if i ended up with the 67R, i'd still keep thinking about that damn 5711R

so my current rationale is to just hold out for the one that keeps calling me.

5711 in white dial is stunning!

I love the 5711R... if you enjoy a full gold piece then go for this one!

With that collection it would be a 5164 or 5167 for me. What a nice problem to have :-)

I liked your DD best of your collection. I hope you got a decent price for it.
I would go with the 5711 white dial. Getting one is the issue.

i definitely miss (and somewhat regret selling) the DD. but i think have two yellow gold full bracelet pieces was too overlapping. and although i don't regret swapping it for the 15450BA, there is some solace in knowing that a president in 36mm is fairly easy to attain (again) later down the line if i so choose.

the 5711 white is definitely of interest. but already have 2 other white dial sport models (although not of the caliber of the nautilus) - daytona 116520 white and smp gmt "great white".
the idea of having a 3rd white dial SS piece...don't know...i think the 5711R or 5167R would add more variety.

Money no issue, I would definitely go 5711R. By far the best looking out of the 4.
