5167 rubber strap sizing question
Hi everyone quick question here - just got my 5167 and wondering how everyone cut their strap to fit?
I'm a 6.5inch and I've cut down to 8 slots from 12, and 6 slots to 6, and the clasp is sitting just right in the middleish . But it is still slightly too lose. not perfect tho, if 8-5 will be a better fit with , or shall I do 7-6? |

Don't cut it too snug, as your wrist expands in the heat and there is no easylink for future adjustment.

When a bit loose, i started to cut 1 at a time every week. Note that 6 o'clock should be shorter

Agree, leave it a bit loose IF your wrists are cool/indoors as heat/humidity tends to expand your body a bit. JMHO

I have mine 1 shorter on the 6 o’clock side. I wear all my watches tight as I don’t like them moving about on my wrist.

Thanks for everyone's input.
So how does everyone position their straps in terms of each sides length? |

Just got this done yesterday. I think my 6 o’clock side is 2 shorter. It’s really loose but the rubber grips the wrist nicely.

I think the ad manual is to make each side even and if needed take an extra notch out of the 6 o’clock side. I actually have 3 more taken out of the 6 o’clock side as I wanted the buckle centered on my wrist.

I'm now getting having this dilema, weather in the UK has just changed and my 'winter' strap is just a bit too snug.
you know leaves an indentation of the clasp on the underside of my wrist... 1st world problems I know! Thing is, thankfully I have a brand new uncut strap waiting to go for summer. I'm just afraid to cut it cause i'm not sure how to judge what size I might need in July or Aug.. or do I retire the watch for a few months? Maybe I should do a session on the treadmill and then come off and go straight into fitting the new strap? LOL! |

I typically have the 12 o’clock side 1-2 notches longer. I think I’m running 10-9 on my 5164.

I bought mine just before Xmas so had extra incentive not to go overboard and put on weight... just managed to make it work... so I'd say this is better than a fitbit too.

Yes no need to touch 6 o’clock Strap unless it’s not centred properly. I have small wrists so one notch for me is the difference of it not moving above my wrist bone and wearing it on my hand! |

I think 7-6 will fit more in the center vs 8-5.

I think its maybe the shape of my wrist.. now its 8 - 6 and its not fully centre, however if its 8 - 5 then I will get a tighter fit and will make it in the centre.
Ive read here that someone did theirs 12 - 8 or something like that to have a centre fit of the clasp. But also reading that should allow looser fit in winter so it will fit better in summer. Or else you may need a new strap .. |

2 notches difference between 6 and 12. Manage to fit the clasp in the center.

Well it’s pretty small. Just over 6 in or 15cm.

The thing is my previous Guy insisted on keeping both sides equal thus the clasp doesn’t lineup to the center of my wrist. Thus driving me Mad....sometimes
