Need service on a Sub 16610
My Submariner date 16610 with SEL bracelet is approximately circa 2001-2003 (I don't know: I'm second owner).
This weekend it would not start when I wound it or when I shook it. I had last worn it a week ago, and do wear it regularly, but I've had it since 2004 and I don't recall ever servicing it, so I'm sure it's overdue (I know, I know, it should have been serviced every 5-7 years or so). Please let me know best non-Rolex repair person that I should send it to. I'm in New Jersey, but don't mind sending it within the continental U.S. if it's going to the best person for repair. Thanks for any advice or recommendations. |

You could send it to WCR in New York. http://www.watchcentral.com/

Thanks guys. I did some research and also asked a friend of mine who wears a Submariner, and I ended up sending it off to Rik Dietel at Time Care in Florida after speaking with Rik on the phone.

Once you service the watch and the hands are changed does it mean your watch will have service hands?

Rik has a great reputation, I'm sure you'll be very pleased with the result
Well yes, but it wouldn't matter on a modern Rolex as there's likely no visible difference between the factory hands and the service hands. |
