Very nice. If my kid decides he doesn't want to go to college, I just may pick one up.

I think, that you‘ve made the right choice getting that eichi.
But I‘d not have sold that PT GS8

Thanks for the Eichi comment.

If the GS8 was smaller I would have tried to keep it.

As for the new platinum GS, I would have preferred the case polished because for 70k+ watch I dont want it to look like it had gone through the battle field.

I got to try on the Eichi 2 last night. It is absolutely stunning. Breathtaking. I loved the size, the dial, the hands, the weight of the platinum, and the case. And of course the movement is flawless. It is simple. It is beautiful.

Big congrats on your recent acquisition of one.

After several months, would you share your impressions? Is it still a daily?

Thanks.

Hello, glad you liked it.

Yes it is still daily, I rotate it with 5131P and Apple Watch. Simple watch has its charms, easy to read time, not so much with the busy dial of 5131P, and the movement finishing on the Eichi is much better and I like to look it with a loupe.

Looking forward to SBGZ001 as it has a different profile and I have always liked GS's polished indexes on the dial.

Very jealous. I tried an Eichi II on in Wako last time I was in Tokyo and was blown away. I don’t think I’ve ever held a better finished watch. Enjoy it in good health.

I think the hammered look of the platinum GS is what makes it unique and worth getting. Otherwise it’s a bit too much like every other watch. It’s just me, I prefer uniqueness. That hammered look is not easy to produce by the way.

I just realized the hammering is ingenious. Seiko has made a $76,000 watch that can withstand knocks against door frames and seat belt buckles. It might actually be worn outside.

Not hammered, each case is individually hand engraved.

Congrats on your choice of the Eichi II. It is one of the most beautiful watches made. Simply stunning in every way. I would love to have one!
