Is this 97200 Sub Bracelet Legitimate?

Thinking about buying this. To my eye, it looks good.

What do you guys think?

These are exceptionally well faked now, but in this instance I particularly don't like the alphanumeric characters on the end link.

Is this 97200 Sub Bracelet Legitimate?

Based on what I know and I do not know much. I have 2 SubC in my small collection. LN & LV. My Wife wears the LN and she is a desk diver and that makes the bracelet of my LN to have many countless hairline scratches.

So, what I did was buy a replica 97200 for her to abuse and I kept the real thing. What I am trying to convey is:

You canít tell if the 97200 bracelet is genuine or a replica just by looking at it and definitely I cannot tell by looking at pictures.

If I had them in my hands, then I am an expert. The original or genuine one is very well built. All moving parts or joints are very smooth and move freely.

The replica that I have looks 100% like the original one but the joints and moving parts are bad and some are extremely bad.

Hope this helps.

Genuine. However those pictures show two different clasps.

I have produced guidance for the UK trade (and only the trade) on exactly these models, currently used by some 350+ premises.

Here is a cropped extract from an earlier version of my guidance document, which illustrates correct end-link elements for this reference. The three alphanumeric characters will change of course, but the style and application of the reference etc may be expected to be consistent.

Copyright to these images and the document rest with me.

Compare the image of the OP's end-link.

Apart from any other differences, does his seem to have a curved surface on which the characters are applied? It looks almost photo-shopped.

I would not buy the bracelet shown by the OP.

One might further wish the OP to reconcile his own two clasp images, one of which appears to show a code 6QH and the second 0PE . . .

The whole end link does look slightly vertically stretched. Photoshop or image resizing/compression? No idea in all honesty.

You guys are right - the markings do seem a little off.

When I asked him for a closer photo of the date code on the clasp, he sent me a photo of a different bracelet and claimed he had two of them.

He is also refusing to use Paypal and only a wire transfer.

Going to pass on this deal. Thanks guys.

So the guy I bought the first bracelet from - never refunded me. I escalated the Paypal dispute 2 days after he didn't respond. I'm really hoping Paypal gives me my money back.

Man, really disappointed in him and myself.
