AP15450 close vs far pics

I’m seriously considering a 15450 for my 6.25” wrist. One of the complaints I’ve read about this model is that up close it looks fine, but from a distance it looks too small. Also that it is too thick relative to its diameter. I would love to see close up and distance pics of the same watch and hear opinions on this issue. Thanks!

I would go for a 15300 if I were you. 39mm size and better long term investment imo

Bad advice. The 15300 is old which means it won’t have the shimmer that the 15450 has. 6.25 inch wrist you will be fine with the 15450

That’s the exact reason I wasn’t considering the 15300. The white is too flat for my eyes.

I’ve shown the wrist shot from both wearers view and third person’s view in my review. This is a two tone model but wear is the same so I’m sure it will help with your question on how it looks from distance.

i’ve also got around a 6.25” wrist, and personally i think the 37/38mm size is perfect for me. i have the 15450 and i’ve tried on the new 38mm chrono and i couldn’t really tell the size difference. the 41mm is definitely too big for me unfortunately, i’ve yet to try a 39mm tho so can’t comment on that one.
i’ve heard other people mention here on the forums that the 15450 is too thick like you mention, but i don’t see it myself, i think it’s perfectly fine. i guess if you hold it side by side with a 15400 it might seem a bit thicker since they’re the same exact thickness but different diameter, but on its own i think it looks great. can’t recommend it enough, i love this watch. here’s some photos, hopefully they’re kinda what you were looking for:

I think on a 6.25” wrist the 37mm will look perfect. Royal Oaks definitely was bigger than a “normal” watch of the same bezel size because of the “lugs” and as poor the photos above will definitely not look too small on 6.25.

37mm to 39mm should be good for your wrist size.

I have both 37mm and 41mm AP RO, but I prefer 41mm on my 6.5" wrist.

I have a 6.25 wrist and love the 44mms. Wear what you like, not what people tell you is best for your wrist size. The 39mm is a perfect fit. 41mm is just fine for me too.

I have two 15450’s. Great watch, near and far. My wrist is 6.5”

Don’t have any ‘far’ shots though.

I also have a 15300 which is a more casual sporty look and probably suits me a little better as a result. Both great options, very different watches.

From your pictures, if you don't tell the wrist size and watch models, I would guess that the watches would be 41mm on 7" wrist.

All the watches look perfect on your wrist.

I’ve been struggling with a similar decision. I have a 6.25” wrist and currently have a 39mm (25860). I love the size of the case and the width of the bracelet at the case. The 15450/26315 have a much narrower bracelet relative the the case size. I’m not sure I would get used to that. I wish AP would have just made 39mm, the size that most people want.

6.25” wrist - owned the blue 15300 before and sold it since it didn’t fit me that well (lugs flaring out). Picked up the 15450 and it’s a world of a difference in terms of fit and overall look
