As long as you're satisfied.
I guess it had to be minute as he didn't charge you. You're not a vintage stickler as you allowed it to be restored with the polishing, brushing, and reshaping, and the end result looks great. Like vintage car restoration.

That's such a transformation... it's a lovely watch and still has the vintage feel after all the good polishing work

Very nice first year feet first resto'....chamfers done well too. I'm convinced that going forward more emphasis will be placed on dial and hand condition (the art world 'picture'), than the case (the art world 'frame'), given how I've seen 316 cases brought back so well, without any obvious tells and not even show on an X ray machine !

I don't know if either of you read the story about the watch, but it's not mine, I only sent it off for a friend who had it sitting in his drawer for 15yrs and thought it was worth +/- $3K. He (my friend) sold the watch through Michael (Rolliworks) for a very nice profit being he didn't even buy the watch, it was given to him back in the early '70s for being salesman of the year for an audio company in Manhattan. I believe the watch at that time cost +/-$270.00.
