What a time to turn my life upside down, huh? Thanks for asking, though. I'm drinking from a firehose, as they say, these days, while trying to convince my mom that she should come live here for a bit, rather than being alone.

I hope you and yours are well.

I almost asked this question when you started the thread - the “no lug holes” midcase puzzles me. And now that you have the original bracelet, i have to ask.

Could it possibly be this was an 1803 originally? One that has been customized with a 1575 plopped into it plus a GMT dial/hands and rotating 1675 bezel fitted onto it?

The original bracelet appears to be a President with hidden clasp.

On strap it's got a certain charm, the scalloping is less "in your face". On bracelet it is a bit OTT. I couldn't wear it myself! But if I saw you with that thing in the wild I'd insist on buying you a pint.

That is a remarkable watch (my final-goal watch, personally, if I ever find one I like and can afford) and if you can pull it off, I say more power to you!

Thank Pete,

It is remarkable craftsmanship and looks awesome in person. Can’t wait for the summer. I don’t believe it to be OTT. It’s no more different than any other 4 digit gold GMT. Just has some custom engraving. It’s just enough.

Custom scallop finish. All is correct and came from a very reputable source.

Were the holes soldered closed during the custom work? Looks pretty well done.

That is definitely a unique piece.

I'm not a fan of the scalloped look, but really, I've said this before (about different things) only to see the same thing person and be completely bedazzled.

I'm sure it looks lovely!

One thing I really love about it is that I won’t have to worry about polishing it

Worked perfectly.

What are your thoughts on Possibly refinishing the case to its Original State?

I have a lovely 9958 Bracelet for it.
