It was a Generation 2 Omega Speedmaster X-33.

I wonder if Omega had to pay to be there? Just about everything is for sale nowadays.

Very cool watch.
Should have kept it.

Very cool feature set, some quite unique: Mission Time, 80 db alarm. etc

I'm thinking that if Omega had paid, then the question wouldn't have been asked here.

Perhaps Omega did pay for someone to wear an Omega.

But odd it would be for that old model.
Would make more sense for Omega to pay for someone to wear the current X-33 model so they can sell more of those.

Isn't it more likely to be that as former Space Shuttle crew and presumably using an X-33 at that time, he used the watch he's comfortable with?

I have a Gen 1, which I've had for about three years, and it is super accurate (you'd hope it would be, given the price), super reliable, and has as eonflux notes, an alarm that you can't ignore.
