Is this within tolerances? (New speedmaster)

just bought this watch today at an AD. When I saw it in the shop, I borrowed a loupe because I thought the chrono-second hand was slightly off to the 59-sec mark. In the loupe, it looked fine.
However, when I got home and checked out the watch in the bright light from the window, I could easily see the following. Is it within what should be tolerated?

Pictures are taken in the window and with top of the picture towards the window in order to rule out "eye-distortion".

I have written to the AD, but of course it is long after hours now.

I would not accept that on a brand new watch. Strange that under the loupe at the store it wasn't clear.

Thanks for your reply.
It had the plastic still on it when I checked so that is probably why

Yeah that has to go back. It will annoy the life out of you.

Yeah, that’s not right. Should be an easy fix, or just give you a new one

Oh crap, that would bother me too. This pointer must bisect the twelve o'clock indices exactly. Drive to your AD and clarify this directly on site and request an exchange or a correction of the error. As soon as this is fixed you will have the joy you deserve with this great watch.

Please take a look at the hour counter. I can't see it properly. Is the pointer centered in the middle?

Did you try start, stop, reset? If it's still that way, send it back.

My chrono second hand rests slightly to the right on my 3861. It’s a piece unique. I’d rather live with it until service than to have the watch opened under warranty

I expect he did try that quite a few times.

I would take it back.

I think your 12 hour chrono hand may also be slightly off centre. Mine was and I just couldn't unsee it.

I think it’s just a small adjust, rest the hand stack or something like that.

Good luck

Great watch that I would ask the AD to make right. I would not be without the watch if they want to send it for a service, I would ask for another watch that is right or a refund.

I had the same issue and sent it back. It came back perfect, BE CARFUL; the clasp came back all scratched. Mine was 5 days old
