Does Rolex unveil new watches via BASEL World, every year?

Apologies if this is a dumb question but does Rolex unveil new watches every year or is it done on a random basis? Thx

I think the last model to debut at a time other than Basel was the D-blue in mid-summer a few years back... So don't hold your breath waiting for surprises...

Pretty much just at Basel, general speaking.

I've been following Rolex for a decade and it seems that they consistently use Baselworld to announce the new references. It helps build anticipation and excitement every spring. May not have always been that way though. Cheers!

I think it's more updates on an already existing models. I don't know when the last actual new model was released. They add ceramic bezels, update movements. Make a new version of an old watch model...then watch us all go insane over it

Well, if you take "new model" to mean an entirely new watch line, then yes Rolex doesn't do that every year. But, few brands do. And when Rolex does introduce an entirely new product, it happens at Basel.

I suspect most people use "model" to refer to major changes within the established lines. For example, I'd personally call the CHNR a new model. In that sense, it happens every year, and again at Basel unless there's a promotion that dictates otherwise, like the Cameron D-Blue DSSD.

(Although, it's not like the Sky Dweller, Yacht Master II, and Deepsea Sea Dweller are ancient.)
