Yes I wear a lot of heavy Y/G Jewellery, ID Bracelet, heavy Chain & two heavy Rings. All were purchased way back in the mid 1990’s. I wear it on a daily basis. It was fairly expensive then but I reckon it would be much more expensive now, though you don’t see a lot of this type of Jewellery in Jewellers shops now, but back then it was very much in fashion Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Wow, that is very nice. I had never been into yellow gold, not even gold toned watches, until very recently. I am starting to realize that yellow gold is a statement of traditional and timeless class. I love that you daily it. I daily my silver chain, and my watch. I need to get more into the habit of wearing some of my other things. Life is too short to not wear your jewelry! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I appreciate jewellery craftsmanship but have no use for it.

And really, let's talk about costume jewelry! I'm ready to talk about it indefinitely because, for me, it's a topic I always want to come back to. I grew up in a family where my mother would draw models of future jewelry, and my father would put all her ideas into action. He was an excellent jeweler, and she was an incredible artist. I grew up in an atmosphere of creativity and love, so I have a very reverent attitude to jewelry making.

A wooden cross on a string around my neck that I’ve been wearing forever along with a wedding band. That’s about the extent of my jewelery collection or lack there of one.

That is nice as well. Sometimes less is more Had the wooden cross held up over the years? Sometimes I am under the impression that for something to hold up, it has to be made of metal But I am pretty sure I’m wrong Look at the post above where someone said they’ve worn a leather bracelet for years. I would’ve never thought that was possible. |

That's a Cuban link chain. It's 24 inches and 90 grams of 14K old gold. I purchased that chain when my daughter was born in 1990. Everything you see I still have for many years

All of it is 14k gold. Back in the days all we wore was 18K and 14K gold. Now a days is seems like everything is 10K gold and if you can find some 14k or 18k it's going to be a little expensive especially with the price of gold going up...

Nice! Did you ever have to apply rhodium plating on it? When I bought my fiancé’s engagement ring in white gold, I was told I will need to apply rhodium coating maybe once every two years in order for it to stay white What gives? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

The Duke of Bedford from his Book of Snobs regarding men's jewelry: “Tie clips, cuff links the size of saucers, and all rings with stones are absolutely out. A signet ring on the little finger of the left hand is, however, perfectly all right.“

I guess I am far from a gentleman...…….
Everything shown is from the early 2000's.....14K white Asscher cut(little over 1.00 carat)/14K white 2.10 carat round/18K yellow pinky ring/95 gram-14K diamond bracelet.....the massive one on my middle finger is still being sold by a jeweler in Thousand Oaks, CA(30grams, F VS1 3.85 carats). Daily watch is a 126233(had to get a two tone-OCD about metals not maching). Enjoy...…………. |
