Not so sure about this one....
Another highly suspect DSSD, including the source, being a 0 feedback ebayer with the user ID 'pawnshop01'
Here's the auction: http://cgi.ebay.com/Rolex-Deep-Sea-D...item3ca9770047 What I don't like about this particular auction, besides the shady source is the following (there could be more, but the pics are, perhaps deliberately, ty): 1) Larger than usual gap between the bracelet and the 2 o'clock lug 2) Wimpy-looking crown which is almost flush with the crown-guards. In the genuine article, even when fully tightened, the crown sticks out about 2mm, here it appears to protrude less than 1mm 3) Caseback font MAY BE off, again, hard to tell with the pics 4) NEVER have I seen such a sticker on the caseback, typically it is an all-clear sticker with the green crescent on one of the edges 5) Incorrect box (smaller than the DSSD's I have seen) 6) EXACT SAME packaging as the faulker I received last moth (see sticky) - meaning genuine papers (but no cert), burgundy tag - but no green tag. Have a sneaking suspicion that if the pics were better, more ugliness would surface. Opinions?

Greg, you know more about the DSSD than I do...should the end links have a number on them? Because in the one pic they do not have a number on them.
Thanks. Edit to add: I looked at your Beware thread and it seems the DSSD watch does not have numbered end links. |

BINGO!!!
Jim - you had me look closer at the back of the bracelet on the real thing. On the last pic of the suspect listing, there's some sort of engraving on the links NEXT to the endlinks. On the real thing - NADA! The bracelet is definitely fake - what about the rest of the watch? I bet I know the answer

I saw that too. That made me ask the question about the end links.
With that said, I'm not expecting a reply to my email! |
