Trustworthy dealer?!

Hi All, My first post here so please be gentle

I'm thinking to buy a pre owned Rolex DJ and wondered if anybody has had good or bad experience with buying form this web site http://www.chronomaster.co.uk/
Prices seem good but the thought of buying Rolex on the internet scares me

BTW Top forum

Welcome to TRF!

DON'T buy from CHRONOMASTER, please!

A fellow member sent me a PM two days ago about a Tudor Sub that Chronomaster has for sale, and it turned out that he had STOLEN the pic of it from Nick Hacko's (aka Wacko) site

Run away like hell, that is my advice!

If it seems to good to be true, it probably IS too good to be true!

Thanks for the info Spacedweller

Maybe the best way to go is to save a bit more coin and go to a AD

Hello Bo,

I think Chronomaster is ok, but not sure. If the guy of the Tudor is me, it was from chrono24 and looks like the seller was from france. Dont know about chronomaster anyway, but they have a phone and other details.

I offered Neil a deal on two watches from his chronomaster site and he emailed me back saying they were both sold.

Two months later they are still on the site so either he is advertising items that do not exist or he doesn't accept Welsh currency.

Either way I can't recommend him.

Go AD. The overall experience of buying your first Rolex in person is worth it.

Downing and I at our AD. He with his brand new Seadweller and me with my brand new Black Dial Explorer II!

I have bought four pre-owned Rolexs in the past and I always send the watch(s) to the RSC, after purchase, because I always assume that the previous owner(s) neglected servicing. All four were over 5 years old. This cost must be taken into account with buying pre-owned. IMHO if you take the hassle of due diligence, most likely the lack of paperwork and such, service and/or repair cost, plus that little bit of really wondering if it is real.....AD is the best way to go for your first purchase. This may sound smug, and that is not my attention, if you can't risk losing the funds....delay the purchase and buy new from an AD.
