What Did I Just Come Across?

Found at a pawn shop. Serial is 7XX,XXX.

Dial is a blue sunburst style. Any insight? Really interested to know if this is just something pieced together or if there's anything original to it. Came on an aftermarket strap.

Dial even has a Tudor callout

Looks like Tudor submariner judging by the font of the date window, but after market dial and bezel. Only way to find out if it's the genuine article is to pop open the caseback and take a look at the movement.

Wow, pretty wild. They wanted $2,500 for it...wondering if it's worth it to take a flyer on. Appreciate the above insight!

What I figured. Any Sub for $2,500 nowadays is a red flag to me!

Makes you wonder how they come up with such a figure. Did they honestly dish out a grand or so when someone pawned it?

Hard pass for me. This website has taught me a bunch...like all things, if the deal is too goo to be true (though not even sure this is a deal with this set up), RUN!

Let it go; nothing to be gained by owning that regardless of the price.

Fake, bogus, forgery, etc... How ever you say it, you just saved $2500. That is not even close to a ”good” fake Rolex. I am guessing $19.99 from a street vendor China Town NY.

I'd Pass... There are much better legitimate finds and the best part is the Hunt!

The pawnshop guy is stuck with it, if it was authentic he would be asking over $5,000...

If your in mind to play the game, 1. ask the seller for its serial number so you can check with Rolex. 2. ask if he wouldn't mind accompanying you to a Rolex AD for an appraisal..... this response should be enough.
