Anyone have a PAM 692, please read

I have 4 PAMs submersibles, and my 692 bezel is loose, my PAMs 305 (Titanium) and 508 (Ceramic) are almost identical in style, However, the bezels are tight.

By loose, I mean, there is “play” before it engages, when trying to rotate the bezel.

I called the NY Boutique and they said it’s normal because of the BMG materials.

Anyone on this forum had a similar experience with their 692?

Feedback would be appreciated.
Todd

Mine has a bit of wiggle, nothing unusual. Are you saying you have rotational play/slack?

Thanks for the response. I would say there is a bit of a wiggle. No play or slack once it engages to the initial “click” to rotate. However there is wiggle before the initial click, which I don’t have on my other submersibles with the same rotating bezel, but as I said, with a different type of materials.

My local AD just sold there one and only 692 they got as part of their allowcation, otherwise, I’d compare with a new one. I really don’t want to send into PAM under warranty, the last PAM I sent in under warranty took over 8 weeks to get back.

can you post a short video of the "wiggle". a little play may be normal but would need to see it.

Yes, good idea. I was thinking of doing that but not very tech savvy and not sure I can upload. But will try.

I saw this thread this morning. I’ve just had a play with a 692 at the OP boutique in London and the bezel does indeed have a bit of play in it before engagement. I couldn’t measure it but at the outer circumference of the bezel the play was about 1mm.

What I will say is that I wouldn’t have noticed if I hadn’t read this thread first, seems normal to me. Forget about it and wear that piece like you stole it!

My 692 bezel has minimal wiggle that is comparable to my 389. Does anyone else's 692 show swirls that are only visible when reflecting bright light?

It's pretty common. Panerai calls it a feature not a defect. I honestly don't buy their claim. The movement of the bezel gives a feel of cheapness to the watch. Besides that, and a super noisy rotor, I am in love with the BMG
