Socks advice with jeans...

Looking for some input on sock collar. When wearing jeans what is the proper sock color to wear with sneakers? I usually wear Alden’s with jeans but I do wear sneakers with then on occasion. Any advice?

I wear low cut running socks for comfort not style. If I am looking to dress up a bit I wear no socks with loafers.

Depends on the sneakers... and the jeans...

Generally, I don't think you can go wrong with dark colored socks -- black, dark navy or charcoal.

I wear black socks with black sneakers and white socks with white sneakers. If I’m feeling jazzy I’ll wear colorful, modern argile.

I mostly just wear coloured socks, I buy two packs from Levi's and they last for ages.

hidden socks with loafers are a must IMO... or maybe i just have smelly feat but barefoot in shoes is a damp and smelly experience

I think they are called loafer socks. Would make sense.

Depends on the footwear and jean colour.

If black jeans, black socks.

Blue jeans or other colours, probably afford a bit more latitude.

Check out Falke Run socks for excellent comfort and durability. Only socks I will wear.

Agree with this...especially in the summer, this is what I do.
I personally don’t wear sneakers with jeans, only loafers, Chukkas, boat shoes, etc....
Then I’ll match the sock with the color of the jeans

Crew height or above ankle for me. Never took to those below the ankle types.

Wool socks are a must.
Smart wool
Icebreaker
Darn tough.

Doesn’t matter which, just get on the wool sock train!

First priority with choice of sock, it needs to compliment your watch.

No shows in the summer and dark navy in the fall/winter. Match the dress sock to the pants not the shoes.

I think loafers without socks will be regarded much the same way as dork knobs (men with ponytails) in the near future.

I don't think most people think showing off your bony hairy ankles is sexy in men or women.

Just say no.

Dress socks with loafers or comfortable socks and boots if I wear a button down, a blazer, and slacks.

To each their own.

I use black dress socks unless I'm wearing shorts. Except with my viberg boots, which need a mid weight boot sock to fit right. Makes my life easier to not think about it

As an aside, there's a trend toward loud/fun socks that I think is stupid. when someone feels the need to become the "fun sock guy" they really should look in the mirror and reevaluate their life

I mostly wear loafers of some type with shoes and socks that match the jeans. Occasionally though I will wear a pair of running sneakers with jeans if I’m loafing about the house or simply running errands. In my younger days I’d always wear white socks with sneakers and jeans.

I have bigger stresses in life than to think about this. Not sure this question had ever entered my mind until opening this thread.
