Sorry, that should have said, any day. Beautiful watch. My dj is champagne w/diamond markers. But my first dd will be rg w/ chocolate dial and diamonds/rubies. Someday . . . .

Agree - and i think it comes down to the baguette cut.

It just works better for me on a watch than round or square cuts.

Diamonds look great when done right. I've had custom diamond on my 36mm DD. I'm contemplating having one made for my new DJ as well. But it's likely going to be my daily and it's to much for at work. But heck I've owned a few. Heres some pics of mine and my friends diamond rolexs. The fully covered and the tridor belong the my friend. The others are mine.

Wife loves hers! It's a franken, we looked at AD and online and she didn't like any of the stock offerings over the DJ36 franken seen below.

They just don't usually do anything for me, and certainly not on a watch for a man do I think they do anything. I consider it money better spent in getting some fitness training and improvements in your natural look and well-being. There's a saying in Spain that the clothes hanger is more important than what you hang from it.

I would go for subtle diamonds on a watch, maybe hour markers, other than that I think they look feminine and tacky on a men’s watch.

I quite like them. But I spent a large portion of my childhood watching Yo MTV Raps so the odd diamond here and there never put me off. This has been calling me for years it's just down the list.

One of my lottery win watches.

There are many others way above these on the want list though.

What's "Wrong" With Diamonds?

Love the size and the big bezel of the DJii. Didn’t care for the larger batons. I really like romans but other then the azuro blue they don’t make one with all Roman markers. The others have a baton at the 9 and I don’t care for it. So I bought the rhodium DJii diamond dial. Imo it balances out the watch and dial much better imo. I think most men prefer the baton look for the lume. I think the 2k extra is also a turn off for some. I think on any Rolex a diamond dial is very tasteful. To be honest they use the smallest diamond chips in the world and charge 2k plus for 10. They are all flawless but it’s hard to have any flaws when they are cut that small. My wife has the diamond VI. They are like diamond dust but she loves it.
In the picture are my DJII and DJ36 btw.

I love rhodium dials; have 2. But they're even better with diamond markers like yours.

Well once you start adding meteorites the diamonds are toned down!

They add a bit of order to the dial, don't they?

Just not appealing. Ever.

Only exception known to me is the 6 o’clock marker on a platinum Patek.

Note, if it matters, I like diamonds on a watch face, and on some bezels.

I like the gem itself. I’ve tried several times to like them on Rolex dials but can’t.

I haven’t seen them in every reference you can get them on, but the dial ones at least, look fake to me for some reason.

I can neither further define nor defend such a preference.

I like my 16613 with the string dial made by a local jeweler. I bought it in 1991, before Internet forums, and before I knew it wasn't cool to have diamonds on your Rolex.
