expert advice needed please
Pics aren’t great but there appear to be scratches on the dial. That suggests that the crystal is acrylic vs sapphire. Acrylic was the standard material used for many years and the scratches can be easily polished out if not too deep. Rolex’s transition to sapphire varied by model. For the Oyster Perpetual it was around 1991 to give you an approximate youngest age of this watch.
When this type of question is asked it’s useful to have a photo on the movement to help verify authenticity. |

All I can say is the box is 30yrs newer than the watch which is usually cause for more questions.
