!962-63 gmt

Hi. kinda new to the forum. Just bought an old 1675 (62-63) GMT with a 6xx,xxx serial# and pointed guard. A service dial and hands were put in 6 yrs ago by Rolex. I've got all the original paperwork from when new, but I can't find any dial info. would this watch call for an original Gilt or Gilt Chapter Ring dial or I guess an original matte dial? thks

I'd put that serial number closer to the 60-61 timeframe. Yes you are well in gilt enclosed minute track territory there. Probably a 1565 movement as well.

Here's a pic of one from VRF's dial site. Carries a serial number in your range.

Thks for the replies. on a 1967 service receipt (from Rolex New York)the movement states 1560. The "time chart" ( I guess like a presale inspection shows 1962 with the little "guarantee" booklet showing a sale date of 1963. thks for the input.

Sounds right. The 1560/65 was used during the early 60s.
