Hi All, trying to get more information about this watch i have inherited, unfortunately i didn’t get any information about it apart from we this its circa 80 years old, any help would be really appreciate it.

The strange observations id the numbers of the clock face, the number 4, 6 & 9 are strange so would be interested if anyone has seen this font before

I'm guessing this may be a pre-oyster from the 1940s, but it would be helpful if you could show photos of the back. If you can open it and show photos of the inside, that would be particularly informative. There were many different dial variations, but I don't have any particular concerns about it, I think the font is interesting. The lume in the hands appears to have been repaired.

Its center seconds so it going to be no later than the late 1940s or early 1950s.

I have seen that 4, 6 and 9 before, it is a Rolex font. So thats good.

Im not sure if its just the light, but is that case gold? We would need to see the backside of the watch to answer a few questions.

Also, looks like an older lume repair on the hands.

It's difficult to read, but it looks like it's stamped 375. That would mean it's 9 karat gold, and was made for England or Canadian market.
