Does ROLEX ever use 24K Gold on their watches?

I think 24K is too soft and they only use 18K ...

Yup, only 18Ct, 24Ct is an impractical material to work with, especially on watches

I was watching an indian movie where a guy was boasting to another
"this is 24K original Rolex" so at that moment, everyone starts looking at me,
since I am the only ROLEX dude in the house .. I said "it is a fake" ... they said "why .. how can you tellfrom so far away?" and I said "because rolex never uses 24kt ... it is too soft ... they only use 18kt" and they went "hmm... ahhhh......" and they nodded in agreement .......

So this post was to reconfirm my belief ... thanks a lot!!!

Well sometime 24 Kt is used as a expression meaning its the best or the genuine article and nothing to do with the gold content.Like saying its a 24Kt deal a deal that you cannot go wrong on.

Was it gold (or 'gold')?

What is the name of the film, by the way?

Cheers

Yes, that's the movie .... yeah you could tell from the dial that it was some rapper watch .... so yes, the director/scriptwriter should have done their homework ... at least given out the model of the watch ...

BUT in real life, Sanjay Dutt is a big fan of Rolex ... I have seen him in many movies wearing a daytona ... he knows watches ...

Also another bollywod guy, Saif Ali Khan is a watch freak ... I have seen him with a sub on many occassions ...

One more side actor, his name is Mahesh Manjrekar .... he is always in movies wearing a sub ....
