Hey, I just recently purchased my first watch, a Breitling Superocean II Abyss (Yellow). While it looks great and feels great, my one negative critique would be the rubber strap. During the hot summer days, it sticks and feels to constrictive on my wrist. When I loosen it, it rotates too much around my wrist. Other than that, I really enjoy this watch. Simple yet sophisticated.

Not sure the lug size of your watch. Have you considered a steel mesh bracelet? Seen some good to high quality ones on ebay and Omega also sells them (ofrei.com). Perhaps a custom made leather strap? I use the Pro Diver II on my DSSD, love it.

If i buy a bracelet online, how much would it cost if i went to either a jewelry store or AD to have them replace my current strap with the new bracelet?

i have the exact same watch and I love the rubber strap. Give it some time to break in. It is a good diver look for the summer.

If you aren't into it, get the steel bracelet (not mesh) that goes with this watch. It is on a cool diagonal angle.

This watch is a winner.I've been wearing it all summer and I have other go-to choices.

PS: I think the steel bracelet on its own could be as much as a thousand dollars. Maybe less if discounted or used. Ask your AD.

on a happier note, it will look like a different watch, almost like getting a new one.

Funny…I have one w/steel bracelet and was thinking of purchasing a rubber or Nato/Zulu strap.

The pro II bracelet is not that much. about $540 by an AD. I got mine for a little less. Gives the watch a nicer feel.

I have the exact one as well I really like the deployant rubber but to each his own. I would go to an AD to get the bracelet.

Go yellow. If you add a blue accent to this watch it may come across as an add for the San Diego Chargers. More serious note - my Breitling rubber strap is perfect. As SK said above, give it some "break in" time. TAB

Hi have one also on rubber strap and I like it, if you prefere bracelet buy a PRO II,i've seen some on WUS (I think) for around 400$ used.
