Thanks for all the feedback folks. Im going to put the watch up for sale and trade in for the Patek Pilot. Perhaps a Lange maybe- but regardless, as much as I love the 5980. Its going to get less and less wrist time for me because I just prefer leather straps.

Also some great suggestions on getting the 5980r but time for a different look. I just prefer something a bit larger- 40.5 mm is a tad small for me. Would prefer something in the 42mm range.

My 5905 is incoming in a few days. After that I have told my AD to be on the lookout for the 5524. If I sell the watch in the meanwhile- I may just end up going a different route if the 5524 is going to take a while.
