Well, if it's really from 1942, they aren't to many floating around, plus it's a complicated movement for 70 years ago......

Well not all that complicated its not a Rolex in-house made movement its from ETA Valjoux or Lemania.And in those early Rolex days the chronographs were very very poor sellers much like the vintage Daytona like say the 6263/5.But different story today with these vintage chronographs now costing telephone money.Its a bit ironic some of the most collectible and expensive Rolex and Tudor don't have a in-house made movement inside the case
