FS: 1979 GMT 16750, first year production. Jubilee bracelet. Very nice example.

FOR SALE:

1979 Rolex GMT-MASTER 16750, serial 6.27 million, which is from the first year of production for this model with the 3075 movement, quick-set date changing feature and matte dial. Additionally, these early 16750s, besides being a transitional model between the GMT 1675 and 16750, were also transitional for the case stampings Registered Design and Orig Rolex Design. These circa 1979 models did not contain any Registered Design or Orig Rolex Design stamping above the model number between the lugs.

The watch being offered here is very nice to include the excellent condition of the tritium dial and tritium hands and the E code (1980) Jubilee 62510 bracelet with all 22 links 550 end links and minimal stretch. The "Pepsi" red-back bezel insert is very nice and free from any significant scratches. The original date wheel has the correct open "6s and 9s."

The case appears that it could very well be unpolished but you be the judge based on the photos. It is free from corrosion, the serial and model numbers are fully visible and the lugs are very full with the original chamfers being visible. There are some light scratches and small nicks on the case which does not detract at all from this very fine example.

The watch was serviced this past year by a certified watchmaker and is running well within COSC specifications. (The warranty ends 3/1/19, by the servicing watchmaker.)

$14,750 plus wire fee plus shipping/insurance expense via FedEx/Parcel Pro insurance. I am not accepting Paypal at this time. Overseas buyers are welcome but insurance declared value is limited to $2,500.

Returns are accepted if the watch is misrepresented and returned to my possession within 72 hours of receipt.

Shipping expenses for any returns for movement service are at the expense of the buyer.

Still available. If you are looking for a nice, correct 16750 then here is one with no excuses. Be careful out there in GMT Land everyone. Many might have a lower priced 16750 but - is the case a service case, are the hands luminova, how about the bezel insert...is it correct, and don't forget the bracelet too - is it original for the watch.
