Any idea of age of this oysterdate?

My grandfather left me this watch when he passed away about 15 years ago. Have worn it on and off over the years but the clasp is a little lose and releases quite easily. I like the watch and is very sentimental so was wondering if there is anything, anyone could tell me about its heritage?

Thank you very much.

You can tighten the clasp by carefully bending the middle blade. You only need to add a little more bend and it will close more firmly.

If you remove the bracelet, there will be a serial number between the lugs which you can date it with. My guess from the style of the hands and hour markers, late 1950s.

Lovely watch. Definitely worth spending a few bucks on servicing.

Late 1950s or into the very early 1960s by the style of the dial and the hands. As shown in one of your pics, the bracelet is from much later, 1971.
You can take a paper clip and pop off the bracelet which will reveal the serial number between the lugs along with the model number. That will give you all the info you need.
