Incoming Seiko <3

I am usually frugal when it comes to things for myself.

I also change my mind a lot.

I had been wanting this watch for a couple months, but kept waiting it out to see if I would change my mind...

I was also trying to be more of a one watch guy that anything else.... but I kept thinking about this watch!

Recently, at my work place, something scary happened.

When it was all over, I remember thinking “eh what the hell, I’m gonna guy that Seiko”

Thank you to @Brandrea for sharing his Seiko incoming, which also helped push me over the edge.

He also gave positive feedback on Creation Watches, which is the vendor that I decided to go with, and it was a smooth transaction

Thanks Brian!

Here is the watch:

Incoming Seiko <3

I picked up at the shipping office, and opened the box in the parking lot haha

Couldn’t wait to get home

Here are pictures of it as I was sizing it for my small wrist:

And finally on my wrist!

About two years ago, I had a skx007.

I fell in love with the jubilee bracelet and that is what motivated me to buy my Datejust.
(One of the reasons at least)

Sold the skx007 after buying my Datejust because it wasn’t getting much wrist time and I felt bad for it just sitting there without getting any use.

I have the feeling the Datejust will still get the most wrist time, but I’m not sure.

Time will tell!

I also wanted to add, as soon as I opened the box, I fell in love with this one. It really looks smaller than the skx007. I love it!

I also missed the super rattly jubilee bracelet, and the matte black dial with lume plots that don’t have metal surrounds on them.

Something about the simplicity of an skx is magical.

Good night everybody.

Will post a picture of my watch collection soon.

That’s a great reference Jesus, congratulations

Despite what the reviews on YouTube and other platforms will tell you about the jubilee bracelet on these Seikos ... I think they are just perfect the way they are. Lightweight, stretchy (yes) but super comfortable and they look fantastic

Enjoy it

Thank you!

My only concern is going to be to figure out when to wear which watch.

I might just take it a day at a time and go by feeling.

Also, you were right about Creation Watches. I received mine in 5 days as well.

Congrats!

Love the SKX013, my 007 rarely gets any wrist time since I got this one 5 years ago. Wore it during all my ultramarathons, super solid watch

Yes, it wears and looks different from what I remember of my 007.

I wore mine to the gym today (High intensity interval training) and plan to wear it with everything I do, like my Datejust.
