White Strap GMT

I’m still trying to wrap this around my head:

A GMT watch in white strap. Specifically the latest GS offering: SBGM235.

Not sure how one can use this GMT during travel. But the dial design seems to sync well with this strap. Anyway there’s the original dark blue strap that one can switch back after.

Thoughts?

Additional pic with the blue strap. The underlining on the white strap is dark blue. Great attention to details.

IMO The dial upon closer look of this GMT model is indeed amazing compared to the blue and brown mosaic dial of the 20th anniversary.

I guess this watch can be worn on the beach next summer.

I don’t understand. It’s got a GMT hand and 24hr indices. Why can’t you use it for travel?

The GMT function for the GS works like the GMT Master, with the exception that the second timezone (home time) is displayed on the dial and not on the bezel.

The GS GMT watches all have the same independent hour hand function as the Rolex GMTs. GS definitely does some amazing work with their dials and attention to detail. I think a GS GMT will be my next watch, possibly the Spring Drive GMT, but maybe their Mt Iwate white dial Hi-Beat GMT.

Enjoy your watch, it is beautiful. The white band looks pretty cool as a summer option. I'd even be OK wearing that on a NATO...

Thanks for your nod! I’ll look into a NATO as per your suggestion.

Agree with you! I was pretty amazed on the similar nature of its complication with the GMT Master. But the one that wins out is the mosaic pattern of its dial coupled with the playful white leather strap for dressing down or blue leather strap for more serious getup.

So sorry if I didn’t make myself clear on my post.

I was just wondering how a white leather strap can be used for traveling to use this GMT complication. Maybe I am a bit used to wearing rubber strap or bracelet for traveling for practical purpose.

But I got an idea - will wear this during my summer travel to the beach. It will be a playful GMT indeed.

I like matching the strap to the color of the GMT hand, so I like the blue. But personal preference. Enjoy!
